Obituary of Jimmy Robinson

JIMMY G. ROBINSON Jimmy G. Robinson, 80, Sturgeon, MO passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at the University of Missouri Hospital & Clinics in Columbia, MO. He was born October 11, 1941, the son of the late Gene and Rose (Gibler) Robinson. On September 16, 1960, he was united in marriage to Willidean “Dolly” Nichols who preceded him in death on July 18, 2016. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons Douglas Robinson and his wife Irma of Lenexa, Kansas and Matthew Robinson of Columbia, MO; six grandchildren Daniel Robinson and his wife Ashleigh, David Robinson and Amanda, Samuel Robinson, Sarah Robinson, Jordan Robinson, and Ricky Robinson; two great grandchildren Abigail and Oliver; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife Dolly, one brother Jerry Robinson preceded him in death. Jimmy worked for the University of Missouri for over 35 years in Business Services. He enjoyed sports, the St. Louis Cardinals, fishing, and he pulled ponies at the local fairs. He loved spending time with his family, especially all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Graveside services will be 12:00 pm Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at the Mt. Horeb Cemetery in Sturgeon, MO. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:30 am on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of Mt.
