Obituary of Carol Harlow

CAROL K. HARLOW Carol K. Harlow, 84, Centralia, MO, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO surrounded by her family. She was born May 3, 1938, in Mexico, MO the daughter of the late Carl and Helen (Harrison) Crews. On June 2, 1956, she was united in marriage to R.C. Harlow, who preceded her in death on December 12, 1997. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one daughter Carol Swaim and her husband Mike of Centralia, MO; a son-in-law Joe Erard of Columbia, MO; three grandchildren Kody Erard, Amanda “Mandi” Swaim, and Melissa Montgomery; three great grandchildren Gavin Maxwell, Braxston Montgomery, and Harper Montgomery; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Carol was preceded in death by her daughter, Aimee Erard. Carol worked as a research and records clerk for Boone County National Bank for over 30 years. She was a member of the Centralia United Methodist Church, Red Hat Society and enjoyed planning class reunions. Carol was an active volunteer for the Centralia Senior Center and a diehard fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. She loved playing cards, reading, and spending time with all of her family. Carol always had a smile and a kind word to match her spunkiness. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, June 20, 2022, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO. Interment will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Centralia, MO. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Sunday, June 19, 2022, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO.
