Obituary of Mary Melloway

MARY K. MELLOWAY Mary K. Melloway, 82, Sturgeon, MO, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023, at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO. She was born July 5, 1940, the daughter of the late Charles R, Melloway and Laura (Sparks) Melloway. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her adopted daughter Carla Winterbower and her husband Tom of Clark, MO; two sisters Charlene Klug of Higbee, MO and Pamela Douglass of Harrisburg, MO; three special grandchildren Tricia Robinson, Colby Darwent and Bryan Perry; five special great grandchildren Devin Robinson, Tyson Robinson, Braxton Darwent, Colton Perry and Cooper Perry; several nieces and nephews; a special family member Mike Lindsay and his wife Darla of Clark, MO and a special friend Brenda McGee of Holliday, MO; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, one daughter Shelby, three sisters Julie Dodd, Dorcas Nichols and Vicki Gorham and her companion Bill Lindsay preceded her in death. Mary worked for Boone Hospital Center for many years. She enjoyed deer hunting, westerns, cooking shows, and traveling to Branson, MO to see Maggie May. Mary loved to cook and always enjoyed her Sunday dinners at Carla’s house with her family and friends. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
