Obituary of Koos Venter

JACOBUS “KOOS” VENTER Jacobus “Koos” Venter, 66, Centralia, MO passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023, at the University of Missouri Hospital & Clinics in Columbia, MO. He was born October 15, 1956, in South Africa the son of the late Jan and Bets Venter. He was united in marriage to Antoinette (Palk) Venter who preceded him in death. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two daughters Heleen Richard and her husband Jamie of Milltown, IN and Theonette Ramsden of Invercargill, New Zealand; one son Jan Venter of Christchurch, New Zealand; his significant other Connie Wright and her family of Centralia, MO; one brother Andries Venter of South Africa; one sister Elmarie Botha of South Africa; three grandchildren Emmie, Abigail, and RJ; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife, a son Kobus Venter preceded him in death. Koos served his country in the military while living in South Africa. He recently moved to Missouri and loved meeting new people and travelling around the state. He loved golf, music, playing his guitar and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. A celebration of life will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, March 10, 2023, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO.
