Obituary of Tom Marshall

THOMAS OLIVER “TOM” MARSHALL Thomas Oliver “Tom” Marshall, 74, Mexico, MO died Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at his home. He was born September 15, 1948, the son of the late Harold and Madge (Hale) Marshall. He was first united in marriage to Linda Prisner, later on February 29, 1996, he was united in marriage to Marcia (McDonald) Marshall. In addition to his wife Marcia of 27 years, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his children Ty Marshall of Mexico, MO, Lori Kane and her husband Mark of Davenport, Iowa and Chase Marshall and Rebecca of Columbia, MO; his sister Audrey Ellis and her husband John of Oregon; grandchildren Kate, Gavin, Alexis, Tylor, Trevor and Ciara; one great grandson Blayne Brandt; niece Holly Campbell and her husband Jack of Florida; four nephews Jerry Marshall, Kenny Marshall, Doug Marshall and Thomas Marshall; several cousins from maternal and paternal family; very best friends Ken Brundege and his wife Adonis of Mexico, MO, Ron Salmon and his wife Betty of Mexico, MO and Steve Magnus and Sue of Mexico, MO; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, one brother Harold Eugene Marshall and one stepdaughter Rhonda Crigler preceded him in death. Tom graduated from Mexico High School in 1967 and then attended DeVry Institute. He worked in receiving and development for AP Green in Mexico, MO for 34 years. Later he worked for Hubbell in Centralia, MO and finally for the City of Mexico. Tom loved to collect Mexico memorabilia and enjoyed making and collecting marbles, gardening, ang giving away the vegetables he would raise. He was a member of F.O.R.R. Chapter 13 and was an avid Harley Davidson rider from the age of 15. Tom was also known for his wry sense of humor. Per his request, there will be no services.
