Obituary of Joe Cordwell

JOSEPH “JOE” CORDWELL Joseph “Joe” Cordwell, 88, Laddonia, MO, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023, at the Pin Oaks Living Center in Mexico, MO. He was born August 28, 1935, in New Egypt, NJ, the son of the late Ephriam and Anna (Kowolski) Cordwell. On June 9, 1957, he was united in marriage to Rosie Pearl (Veach) Cordwell who preceded him in death on March 23, 2022. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons Darryl Cordwell and his wife Devon of Laddonia, MO and Curtis Cordwell and his wife Gayle of McDonald, TN; one daughter Sandy Eisele and her husband Jon of Centralia, MO; eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife, his son Ed Cordwell, one brother and three sisters preceded him in death. Joe first worked as maintenance superintendent for McCormick Tank Lines, later in sales for Prudential Insurance Company, a representative for Loma Linda Foods, owned his own trucking company and finally owned a residential care facility. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and enjoyed woodworking and anything mechanical. Joe loved spending time with his family, especially all of his grandchildren and his dog coco. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Monday, September 25, 2023, at the Crossroads Community Church in Centralia, MO. Interment will be in the Centralia City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until service time on Monday, September 25, 2023, at the Crossroads Community Church in Centralia, MO.
