Obituary of Joyce Armontrout

JOYCE ARMONTROUT Joyce Armontrout, 88, Centralia, MO passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Aspire Senior Living in Moberly, MO surrounded by her family. She was born December 22, 1935, the daughter of the late Chester and Ruth (Sexton) Harlow. On April 15, 1956, she was united in marriage to Gilbert Armontrout. In addition to her husband Gilbert of 67 years, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three sons, Jeff Armontrout and his wife Janet of Centralia, MO, Jamie Armontrout and his wife Kym of Columbia, MO and John Armontrout and his wife Karla of Centralia, MO; one daughter Connie Minton of Centralia, MO; two sisters Vera Ridgway of Centralia, MO and Lois Bailey of Centralia, MO; ten grandchildren Krista, Logan, Alexis, Libby, Jason, Dalton, Jenny, Sara, Justin and Chloe; sixteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, one brother Carl Harlow preceded her in death. Joyce worked at the Corn Crib near Centralia, MO and later for Shelton Seed. She was a member of Tulip Christian Church and enjoyed gardening, canning, and crafts. She was known for her sewing and made everyone in the family snuggy blankets. She also loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Friday, December 29, 2023, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO. Interment will be in the Centralia City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until service time on Friday, December 29, 2023, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO.
