Obituary of Audrey Barrett

AUDREY MAE FOSS BARRETT Audrey Mae Foss Barrett, 93, Sturgeon, MO was received into Heaven by her Lord Jesus, on Saturday, April 17, 2021. Audrey, the daughter of the late Gilbert and Martha (Lokensgard) Foss was born March 15, 1928, in Revere, Minnesota. On October 20, 1953, Audrey Mae and Harold Leroy married in Paragould, Arkansas. They were married just shy of sixty years, when Harold passed away on July 1, 2013. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by four children Bruce Leroy Barrett and his wife, Karen, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida: Andrea Jene Schmidt of Hastings, Michigan: Teresa Lynne Barrett of Centralia, Missouri: John Thomas Barrett and his wife, Vanessa, of Fulton, Missouri; five grandchildren Shaun Halliburton and his wife Jill, Heidi Stern and her husband Paul, Eli Schmidt, Melissa Clark and Christian Barrett; seven great grandchildren Cheyenne Stroman and her husband, Dakota, Landon Wholers and Zane Wholers, Macy Halliburton, Wyatt Halliburton, Kylie Stern and Alivia Stern; two great great grandchildren Adelynn Mae Stroman and Abram Wholers; her sister, Geraldine Pashen of Morris, Minnesota; other relatives and many dear friends. Audrey graduated from Alberta High School in 1946, in Alberta, Minnesota. She also graduated from Sisters of St. Joseph Nursing School in 1949, in Fargo, North Dakota. She was a military wife and worked as a R.N. for many years and retired from Audrain Medical Center in Mexico, Missouri. She was a lifetime Christian; she demonstrated her love for Christ by loving others. She became a member of the Sturgeon Baptist Church in 1974 and enjoyed word puzzles, cooking and most of all playing Skipbo with her family and friends.
