Dear Wes & Brad, Please know how sorry and sad we are to hear your dad is gone. I know how much he loved you guys and your families. We had some good talks over the years and some very funny conversations too! He was fun to laugh with and he always made me smile. His love for his dog pack was immeasurable. There's a saying about a human's heart grows with each unwanted dog that comes into their life. Your dad's heart was enormous! I know he hated to say goodbye to them when he went to the VA home but he rallied and became a favorite out there! He was so proud of the music you made Wes! He gave me one of your CD's and I enjoyed it very much! Brad, he told me about your coaching career and how proud he was of everything you were doing. I looked forward to seeing him at the chicken dinners at the American Legion in Martinsburg. I might have gravy all over me or potato water or whatever from the kitchen, but he always looked for me (and I him) to get a hug! I know Isis and Cheddar and all the other pups who went before him were there to greet his spirit with joy. I'll miss him. May all the good memories bring you peace. Love, Sue & Dave Qualls

Wes and Brad, I had the honor and privilege of taking care of your Dad since 2019. He and I hit it off because of our smart aleck personalities and I consider him a dear friend. He made the VA Home fun; he loved to laugh and joke and always talk about his dogs. I hope Cheddar and him are taking a nice long walk together. He was and always will be a great man. I loved him dearly and Mexico VA Home will never be the same! I’m so sorry for your loss and offer my heartfelt condolences to you and your families.
